January 1, 2013: Happy New Year everyone! Glad we survived the whole Mayan end of the world thing, I was really worried for a while. This Friday night January 4, 2013 is the last night of our display, so if you were out of town and missed it, you still have time to come by and visit us. Tell your friends to come for one last glimpse before it comes down Saturday morning. Bring food donations!

December 28, 2012 7PM: Come on by, our light display is still up and will be up until Friday January 4. We tear it all down on Saturday Jan 5.

December 26, 2012 7PM: It rained earlier this evening but our lights are on, so stop by, we will have them on until about 11 PM tonight. Our display will be up until Friday January 5. Not a telescope night!

December 25, 2012 7PM:
Merry Christmas Everyone! We have the big telescope out again tonight, again looking at Jupiter and the moon they are almost on top of each other on Christmas night, trying to form the Star of Bethlehem! It's a bit hazy but you can see the stripes! It's getting clearer as the night goes on. So stop by, the scope will be out until 10 PM. The lights will stay on until about 11:30.

I finally came up with the recipe for the most perfect tasting, moist tender meat turkey ever. Read my how-to with complete pictorial and step by step recipe that still has my family talking about it, along with my gravy a year later. Click Here or on the photo to read it.

Our new Big Ben structure should be ready this week! Take a look at this photo below showing the skeleton structure for our Big Ben fixture that we are adding to our Chriustmas display this year. I got the inspiration while watching the Summer Olympics in London this past summer. It shoudl be operational by Saturday.

It will stand about 11 feet tall, and have 8 channels of light and be synchronized to the music.

January 8, 2011 See video of our Megatree crashing to the ground:
Our Megatree is designed to collapse to half height by unscrewing 4 coupler nuts in the metal pipe core of the mega tree, and lowering it from above using a rented cherry picker.
The eyebolt screwed into the top of the magatree gave way, and stripped out of the wood material. This caused the upper part of the megatree to come crashing down, since the cherry picker is no longer suspending it, so that we would have been able to gently lower it. Damage appears to be minimal:
