6, 2012 was last night of our display for 2011 season!
We
had Telescope Night last night! December 27, 2011 1:07 PM EST
Our telescope was out last night! We had our giant Meade telescope
out showing Jupiter, tonight is looking pretty cloudy with some chance
of rain:
New item on our
display: Today I went
to Sam's Club and I bought the holy family, Jesus was marked down from
$199 to $99! The 3 kings is now marked down from $229 to $149. But
alas, even that good price I cannot afford it, the stock market was
very brutal to me this year, and with staggering losses, and 2 rental
units that my Section 8 renters caused
$4500 in damages in each, I just could not do it this year. I am completely at
the end of my cash flow. So it's just a lonely Holy family, no kings, no fanfare:
Our Christmas Display will be
shown on Travel Channel Christmas Eve December 20, 2011 7:33 PM EST We will be featured on Travel Channel
on Dec 24 at 8PM EST. I just set my DVR! The show is called Christmas
Crazy. It's about houses that go over the top with Christmas Lights.
It will also air on Christmas Day 3 PM and 7PM. Our House
was On ABC News Good Morning America.

of our Megatree crashing to the ground:
Our Megatree is designed to collapse to half height by unscrewing 4 coupler nuts in the metal pipe core of the mega tree, and lowering it from above using a rented cherry picker.
The eyebolt screwed into the top of the magatree gave way, and stripped out of the wood material. This caused the upper part of the megatree to come crashing down, since the cherry picker is no longer suspending it, so that we would have been able to gently lower it. Damage appears to be minimal:
